What keeps me building

I grew up taking things apart to understand how they worked, then putting them back together better. That curiosity became a habit: sketch it, model it, print it, test it, improve it. Engineering isn't a subject I study — it's how I think through problems. What keeps me building is simple: the moment an idea stops being an idea and becomes something you can hold, adjust, and improve.

Professional Experience

Engineering Assistant

Bischoff Aerospace

Miami, FL · Summer 2024

A company specializing in the certified overhaul of Rolls-Royce and Pratt & Whitney aircraft turbines.

I started at Bischoff Aerospace during the summer of 2024, getting my first hands-on exposure to the precision standards behind certified aircraft turbine overhaul. I supported component inspection, helped organize technical documentation, and learned the workflow of a shop where every detail has to be traceable and precise enough to fly.

A company specializing in the certified overhaul of Rolls-Royce and Pratt & Whitney aircraft turbines.

I returned to Bischoff Aerospace, this time focused on designing components and functional prototypes through CAD modeling and 3D printing, shortening technical validation and manufacturing cycles. I also automated documentation workflows with n8n, cutting administrative processing time and freeing engineers to focus on work that actually needed their judgment. It was early-career work held to a late-career standard — everything leaving that shop had to meet the precision required to fly.

A hands-on elective built around engineering challenges, maker culture and prototyping.

I teach an elective class to school students where the syllabus is a series of real engineering challenges. We sketch, model, 3D print and test — students learn by building, failing fast and iterating. Teaching forces me to understand things well enough to make them simple, and it's the clearest proof I've found that curiosity is contagious.

Boeing Engineering Challenge

Florida International University

During Boeing Week at FIU, my team was handed a real aerospace engineering problem: design safe, efficient access to the Section 41 of a Boeing 787 for maintenance crews. I led the conceptual design and 3D modeling of a modular platform with adjustable working height — built on mechanical design principles, industrial safety standards, and fast iteration under a team deadline. The result: a working prototype born from real engineering thinking, not just a class exercise.
